The cable has 4 twisted pairs for signal transmission and 1 control core, with an overall shield of aluminium foil and tinned copper braid that protects the signal from external interference. It offers high strength, tensile and abrasion resistance, and resistance to acid and alkali corrosion. The underwater communication cable can be dragged while permanently immersed in seawater, sewage or fresh water.
