PDK81600-2-28 Two-Core Neutrally Buoyant ROV Tether, 150 kg, OD 3.8 mm

Zero-Buoyancy Cables · Marine & Subsea

Neutrally buoyant ROV tether with one 28AWG (0.08 mm²) twisted pair, Kevlar strength member rated 150 kg and yellow PUR foam sheath; OD 3.8 mm.

Built to project order: conductor cross-section and core count, shield type, sheath colour, length and print legend can all be adapted to the working conditions; technical parameters are subject to the specification document confirmed by both parties.

Product introduction

ROV tether is a high-quality tether cable designed for ROVs and other subsea applications. It is neutrally buoyant, has a tensile strength of 150 kg and incorporates water-blocking fibres to seal any leak. The tether is 3.8 mm in diameter, thinner than the vast majority of comparable ROV tethers.

Model: PDK81600-2-28

Cable construction:

- 1 twisted pair 28AWG (0.08 mm²)

Insulation material: PE

Tensile strength: 150 kg (Kevlar filler)

Sheath: PUR foam

Outer sheath colour: yellow

Temperature range: -30 °C to 90 °C

Outer diameter: 3.8 mm

Depth rating: 300 m

Features: oil resistant, flame retardant, hydrolysis resistant, antibacterial, UV resistant and so on.

Characteristics:

The cable core contains Kevlar fibres for added strength and polyester fibres to fill the space. Both fibre types are impregnated with a water-blocking compound to stop leakage caused by a nick or tear in the cable.

The high-visibility yellow polyurethane foam sheath is abrasion resistant and provides neutral buoyancy.

- The cable stiffness is designed to be flexible enough to give your ROV sufficient freedom of movement, yet stiff enough not to tangle easily. Thanks to the polyurethane sheath, the tether is very flexible.
